Mining Tour: Thacker Pass Lithium Project

Join us for an exclusive tour of what will be the largest lithium processing plant in the United States located at the site of the largest measured and indicated lithium resource in the world and see firsthand how a project of this scale translates into jobs, contracts, and growth for local businesses. Tour the Thacker Pass construction site, where thousands of workers and dozens of Nevada-based contractors and suppliers are helping build a new domestic supply chain for critical minerals. Then head to Winnemucca for a look at Lithium Americas' Workforce Hub (WFH) housing facility built to support the construction workforce and the local economy that serves it. Lunch will be provided in the full-service WFH cafeteria. Round-trip travel between Winnemucca and Thacker Pass, plus time at both locations, takes approximately four hours. This is a rare, up-close look at one of the most significant economic development projects in Nevada's history!

Time

7:45 am: Begin loading the bus 8:00 am: Depart from the Chamber 11:00 am: Arrive at Workforce Hub in Winnemucca for tour and lunch 12:00 pm: Depart for Thacker Pass 1:15 pm: Tour Thacker Pass 2:00 pm: Depart Thacker Pass 5:30 pm: Arrive back at the Chamber office
